Description

1987 Buick T-Type, Rare Light Blue Metallic, Turbocharged 3.8L V6, Performance Upgrades, 47,225 Believed Original Miles

Past & Present Motor Cars is proud to offer this very rare and exceptionally attractive 1987 Buick T-Type, finished in beautiful Code 25 Light Blue Metallic over an excellent Gray cloth interior. With its unmistakable turbocharged Buick performance, desirable color combination, long-term ownership history, and tasteful performance upgrades, this is a very special example of one of the most exciting American performance cars of the 1980s.

The 1987 Buick T-Type comes from the same legendary era that produced the Grand National and represents Buick's remarkable turbocharged performance program at its peak. Under the hood is the famous 3.8-liter turbocharged V6, but this one is far from stock. The engine has been upgraded with a larger turbocharger, larger fuel injectors, forged internal components, and an upgraded fuel system. The result is a Buick that delivers serious performance and is FAST!

The exterior is finished in Code 25 Light Blue Metallic, a fantastic color that really separates this car from the sea of black turbo Buicks typically seen at shows and events. The Light Blue Metallic gives the car an understated sleeper appearance while retaining the unmistakable muscular stance of Buick's turbocharged G-body performance cars.

Inside, the Gray cloth interior is in excellent condition and presents extremely well. The clean interior, attractive exterior finish, and overall condition reflect a car that has been cared for rather than simply used up.

This T-Type came to us from a private collection and benefits from long-term previous ownership. The odometer currently shows 47,225 miles, which are believed to be original. It also rides on a set of custom wheels that complement the car's stance and performance personality.

These turbocharged Buicks have developed a tremendous following, and for good reason. They combined traditional Buick comfort with turbocharged V6 performance that was remarkable for the era. While the Grand National may receive much of the attention, enthusiasts know just how desirable the T-Type can be—especially an example in a distinctive factory color with low believed-original mileage and substantial performance upgrades.

This is not a completely stock museum piece, nor is it trying to be. This is a properly upgraded turbo Buick built for the enthusiast who wants the classic G-body appearance with considerably more performance available when the accelerator goes down.
