1970 Plymouth Cuda V-Code 440 Six-Pack – 4-Speed, Galen Govier Documented, One of One
Offered for sale is an extraordinary and exceptionally rare 1970 Plymouth ‘Cuda V-Code 440-6, documented by both the GTS Registry and legendary Mopar expert Galen Govier as one of one known to exist with its unique combination of factory options. This is not just a showpiece — it’s a true driver’s muscle car with unmatched pedigree, presence, and performance.
Finished in Correct FE5 Rallye Red with the highly sought-after A21 Elastomeric Colored Front Bumper Package, this Cuda sports unmistakable curb appeal. Topping it off is the iconic N96 Shaker Hood with the original fresh air setup still in place — a rare sight on any Cuda, let alone one of this caliber.
Under the hood sits the legendary 440 Six-Barrel V8 with its original trio of carburetors, paired with a Pistol Grip 4-speed transmission (VIN on the block; transmission is a correct 18-spline from a 1970 Charger R/T). Power is delivered to the pavement through a 3.54 Dana 60 rear end, and the car drives, shifts, and stops exactly as it should. A newer fuel tank, sending unit, fuel pump, and front suspension have all been installed, ensuring reliability and roadworthiness.
This is a two fender tag car with incredible factory options, and even retains its original exhaust system (minus mufflers) — a testament to how well-preserved it is. The interior features new Legendary seat covers and foam cushions, and everything inside works just as it should. The car is clean underneath and very solid overall.
This Cuda wears a repaint from the 1980s that still shows very well, and it rolls on new radial tires with rally wheels for road use but also includes the original-style Goodyear Polyglas tires on rally wheels for shows or collector display. The rear is equipped with air shocks, allowing you to adjust the ride height and easily change the car's stance to your preference.
With no broadcast sheet but rock-solid documentation, this is a true blue-chip Mopar that’s just as happy cruising the open road as it is on the show field. You simply will not find another one like it.
