This car is one of fewer than 100 produced with the L72 Turbo Jet 427/425 HP Big Block Engine. Car is in excellent condition inside and out Finished in the original Tripoli Turquoise Exterior with Black Cloth and Vinyl, Additional Options include: Tinted Glass, Working AM/FM Radio. Special F41 Suspension Package, Power Brakes, Front Disc Brakes, Rally Wheels, 15" Red Stripe Tires, Included with the sale of the car are: Window Sticker, Original Owners Manual, Copy of the Chevy High Performance Magazine that this rare Biscayne was featured in. This car would have been a Street Racers Special, This was Chevy's answer to the Road Runner. The heart of this Biscayne is the L72 427 engine. The same powerplant offered in 1966 Corvettes and 1968 and 1969 COPO Cars such as Yenko Camaros. This engine features a forged crankshaft anchored in place by four-bolt main bearing caps, Forged steel connecting rods forged to aluminum high-dome pistons, square port cylinder heads and a rather racy camshaft. This car also has a large-port aluminum intake cast at the Winters foundry. This car was an awesome performer on both street and the strip. It is not known with any certainty how many L72 Biscayne's were made in 1968, and it is known with even less certainty how many survive today. One things is for sure though: This is one of the finest of the survivors! This vehicle had less than 50,000 miles on it in 1989. This is a nice clean original car that had been well cared for it's entire life, it probably didn't need a restoration, but the a restoration it did receive. The body was removed from the frame and every part of this car has been addressed including all chrome being replated, every panel repainted, every mechanical part rebuilt. The car retains all original sheet metal! The body was stripped to metal and refinished in the Original Tripoli Turquoise color. The Interior is original it needed nothing but to be cleaned before being reinstalled. As you can see the restoration and originality of the car have really made it one anyone would be proud to drive, show and enjoy! Car was just driven with no issues and we encourage you to come see and drive this phenomenal Muscle Car for yourself!
