This beautifully restored 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 brings together the history, colors, equipment, and Big Block performance that make these cars so desirable. Finished in stunning Cortez Silver with Black SS stripes and a Black Bucket Seat interior, this Chevelle has the unmistakable look and attitude of Chevrolet’s legendary muscle-car era.

Adding significantly to the story of this car is its documentation. It retains its original Atlanta Build Sheet, documenting the car's factory equipment and history. It was born Cortez Silver, Color Code 14, and is also a factory Air Conditioning car. The Chevelle was sold new at Tropical Chevrolet in Miami, Florida, giving it a great piece of documented Florida history.

Under the functional Cowl Induction hood is a powerful 454 Big Block V8 backed by a 4-speed manual transmission and 12-bolt rear end. A Hurst 4-speed shifter with the classic white shift knob puts the driver in control and delivers exactly the kind of experience you want from a Big Block Chevelle.

The 454 has been tastefully upgraded with an Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold, MSD ignition system, chrome valve covers, open-element 454 air cleaner, aluminum radiator, and serpentine belt conversion. The engine compartment is clean, detailed, and presents extremely well while maintaining the classic muscle-car character of the car.

Functional Cowl Induction Hood

The Cortez Silver exterior is an outstanding color on the aggressive body lines of a 1970 Chevelle. Black SS stripes provide the perfect contrast, while the SS grille, badging, hood pins with lanyards, and functional Cowl Induction hood complete the muscle-car appearance.

The car rides on classic 14-inch SS wheels with White Letter Radial tires, giving it the proper period look and stance. The chrome bumpers show nicely, the body lines are clean, and the overall presentation reflects the quality of the restoration.

Interior

Inside is a sharp Black Bucket Seat interior featuring a center console, tachometer and gauges, Air Conditioning, and the Hurst 4-speed shifter. An auxiliary under-dash gauge package provides additional monitoring for water temperature, oil pressure, and voltage.

The car currently has a custom steering wheel; however, an SS Sport steering wheel is included with the car and will be installed, bringing the interior back to a more traditional Chevelle SS appearance.
