1957 Chevrolet El Camino, No Engine Currently installed. The front end of a 1957 Chevy Belair has been merged to the front fenders and hood of a 1966 or 1967 El Camino, cab chassis and bed. The front suspension is factory flat A arms The creation of this car took an amazingly skilled body man and welder or both. The 57 Belair doghouse was merged with the fenders and hood of the El Camino. It does not appear that it was either was shortened. The bed is pure, 66 or 67 El Camino, except for the very end of the sides, amazingly all the bed rail trim is installed, and the rear window is El Camino with the correct outer rear window trim. The body is an El Camino body. The dash is El Camino, except for the passenger side which is a 1957 Belair end of the dash. The El Camino dash has Belair gauges plus a SunPro Super Tac ll installed in the dash. It is a late model split bench seat, black vinyl with a fold down armrest. There is also SunPro aftermarket, temperature oil, pressure and alternator gauges. The gas tank has been removed and replaced with a fuel cell that sits on the driver side of the rear corner of the El Camino bed. Once again, the body and chassis are a El Camino. In the back is El Camino features Belair tail fins, taillight assemblies and a 1957 Belair bumper where the exhaust goes out through the bumper. There are four toggle switches, one for the electronic fuel pump, one for the electronic fan, one for the ignition, and one Labeled ALT. We assume that it is to turn the connection to battery off. The car sits on factory, steel wheels with ribbed Babymoon, hubcaps with beauty rings and black wall tires facing out.
This vehicle is either classic, antique, exotic, super rare, or all of the above. This vehicle is on consignment from a very large collection of vehicles. They are being sold as museum quality cars which means they may not run or drive and may not have run or driven in numerous years. The vehicles are of a condition where they would be on display in a museum. As museum pieces we were required to disconnect or remove batteries and drain fuel tanks. Once again, these vehicles have not been driven, or even started in quite some time.
