Description

1961 Wolseley 1500, 4 door Sedan economy Sized car. Four-cylinder, o.h.v.; bore 73,025mm., stroke 88.9 mm., capacity 1489 c.c.; compression ratio 7.2 to 1; max. b.h.p. 50 at 4200 r.p.m,; max. torque 74ft./lb. at 3000; semi-down-draught SU carburetor, SU electric fuel pump, 12v. 4 speed manual synchromesh transmission. A Wolseley 1500 was tested by the British magazine The Motor in 1957. It was found to have a top speed of 76.7 mph (123.4 km/h) and could accelerate from 0-60 mph (97 km/h) in 24.8 seconds. A fuel consumption of 36.6 miles per imperial gallon (7.7 L/100 km; 30.5 mpg‑US) was recorded. RD 8 Maroon / wt 4 snowberry white 2 tone Basecoat clearcoat paint in decent condition there are a few spots coming through along the bottom edge of the body of the car. Rolls Royce shaped front grill, rearview mirrors the top both fenders. Big head lights with big chrome bezels. Two-piece grill guard the underlying part was on oblong circle with the rolls Royce shaped grill overlapping the top. Beautiful spotless Chrome pieces make up the grill components. Wrap around front chrome bumper. Right hand drive. Beautiful real wood dash. Bucket seats with floor shifter. The trunk space is in excellent condition with a slide in spare tire in its own separate compartment horizontally. Floor pans and the undercarriage on this car are in extremely good condition given the age of the car. 100 mph speedometer. Actual real oil temp, gas & oil pressure gauges. Heater / front windscreen defrost. Beautiful red horizontal door panels with real wood top trims. Tri Y steering wheel with 4 bars on each of the 3 spokes. Factory original correct W Wolseley horn button. Three section taillights with turn signal and brake light in red and caution hazard light in orange lens cover surrounded by nice chrome bezel. Covered license plate lamp. Chrome lever twist handle to open the trunk with keyhole in the middle. Wraparound rear bumper. Large chrome gas cap on passenger side of the car on the rear quarter panel. Ellipse Woosley ivory center grill emblem with slim wings on top. Steel wheels with Winged W Babymoon’s. 4-layer poly ply tires. Should be replaced if the car is ever brought back to driving condition, please see the disclosure statement about this vehicle.
